Where is Haigam wetland located? 

Haigam wetland is located in kashmir in district Baramulla , tehsil khoie at Haigam. It's is nearly about 60(km) away from the main city of kashmir srinagar.Haigam is shallow , it's 1.5mtr deep and have nearly about 1500 hectare area land. 

How many birds are there in haigam wetland? 

Once lakhs of migrants birds come to this wetland but due to some reason haigam wetland receive low migrants birds. As of know very  low nearly about 250,00.It is due to hunting., poaching etc. And also lack of water In wetland. Which is main reason. 

Are there any threat to migrants birds? 

Yes, there is a big threat to these migrants birds because many people hunt these birds for their livelihood and many for entertainment. Which is main reason for decline of migrants birds in wetland.in past poachers use handmade tools to Hunt these birds but from several years poachers use guns to hunt these bird.
